Glass Headpins - Shop

This section of my shop contains my lampwork glass headpins.

Headpins are not hat pins or hair pins, neither are they finished items of jewellery.

Headpins are used by jewellery makers to create pendants, earrings or charms. Beads are threaded onto the wire of a headpin and the glass part acts as a stopper and decorative end. The jewellery maker then finishes the piece with a loop and attaches it to a bail, earwires or whatever other finding they fancy dangling it from.

I make some of my headpins straight onto pure copper wire and others I make by glueing in sterling silver or other metal wires. The glue I use for this is high quality, very strong epoxy.

Please be sure to check the individual listings for details of what metal, gauge and length the wires are.

Headpin Information

All of my headpins are carefully annealed in a digitally controlled kiln.

Although I have captured the headpins' colours as best as I can, different screen and monitor settings vary and as such the colours of the headpins may appear slightly different in real life than they do on your computer or device.

I use varying metals and gauges of wire for my headpins so be sure to check the individual listings for these details.

My beads and headpins are glass and although they are carefully annealed, they are still glass and can break if improperly handled, dropped or hit against something hard. In the event of breakage, please discard immediately.

When wearing glass beads and headpins, please take care not to expose them to any situations that may cause them to break and be sure to protect them from impacts or extreme temperature changes.

My glass beads and headpins are not intended for use on or by children as they could present a choking hazard or break with inappropriate handling.
